Customer Reviews
Here are the customer reviews for the Glorietta outlet:
Got food poisoning from their room temperature food, way to spoil my trip. The floors are slippery and you can feel that the place is not clean. Service was quick but this feels negligible given the circumstances.
Disclaimer: This review is about Chowking in general, and not necessarily about their Glorietta branch. It’s been a while since we ate at Chowking, but I noticed how the price of their Beef Wanton Noodles has increased to 210 pesos. It’s now less than a hundred pesos less than Luk Yuen’s, Northpark’s, and David Tea House, and oh boy how disappointing the experience was. They jacked up the price but the taste, QUANTITY, and overall QUALITY was abysmal. Frankly, it tasted like a 50 peso experience. If you’re craving for Beef Wanton Noodle, or any Chinese noodle soup for that matter, do yourself a favor and go instead to either of the three restaurants I mentioned above.Chowking’s quality had been going down for quite some time now. I dunno…maybe the Jollibee group is no longer interested to grow this brand and would rather concentrate on their flagship brand.
Had cravings for Halo-Halo, a popular cold dessert in the Philippines and our friend highly recommends Chowking Halo-Halo. She was right, the Halo-Halo which comes in two sizes regular and small was so refreshingly good. It boasts of having 13 ingredients: shaved ice, nata (coconut gel), langka (sweetened jackfruit), macapuno (coconut sport), saba (banana), ube paste , ube (purple yam) ice cream, red sago (tapioca pearl), sweet milk, leche flan (creme caramel), yellow beans, monggo beans and pinipig (pounded rice flakes). The best halo-halo so far that I have tried during my stay. We also ordered for takeout chao fan (fried rice) and siopao (steamed bun) supreme which had fillings of pork meatball, salted egg and chorizo.
Basically got tricked into eating here once after falling for an ad they always run on Filipino YouTube for their supposedly amazing fried chicken. The fried chicken leg I got was pretty much inedible, so never again. Cleanliness also an issue here as well. Chowking is not even close to the level of KFC/Popeye’s/Jollibee.
